The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons is an organization consisting of plastic surgeons who lead the development of plastic surgery in Korea.

The organization has just celebrated its 50th anniversary and is now making a step toward expanding the Korean field of plastic surgery to the world.

The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons has laid an academic foundation for plastic surgery by running various academic programs; has encouraged plastic surgeons to engage in ethical practice of medicine by dramatically enhancing ethical self-regulation activities; has actively participated in social activities, and has made social contributions to fulfill its social role as an organization of specialists.

Through participation in international academic symposia and interactions with the international associations for plastic surgeons, The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons

has been striving to expand its knowledge base of plastic surgery globally.

The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons allows foreign visitors to search plastic surgery specialists certified by the Korean government (insert a link to the English website), informing them how to ensure their doctor is a certified plastic surgeon based on hospital signboards (insert a link to the English website), and provides them with various other features to minimize their confusion.

As the president of The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons and a specialist in plastic surgery, I will strive for the differentiation of plastic surgery among other areas of specialization, cultivate ethical behavior, establish and maintain an identity of plastic surgery as a unique medical field, and establish clear standards regarding medical ethics for the nation. I will also endeavor to make the Korean field of plastic surgery to become recognized throughout the world.

I must make constant efforts to achieve these goals, and your support and encouragement will be of significant value to me.
